THE SOUTH AFRICAN WAR AND THE KRUGER FAMILY (Grade 4 to 12)
PROGRAM:
Presentation about the Kruger Family and the South African War.
Tour of the Kruger farmhouses.
Tour of the exhibit area at Kedar Heritage Lodge, Rustenburg.
The presentation and tour can be adapted to the needs of each tour group, for example, these can be structured with a particular emphasis on black involvement in the South African War, or childrend during the South African War.
The tour is suitable for learners from Grade 4 to Grade 12. The South African War is covered in the Grade 10 history curriculum, but there is much of interest for all children from ages 10 to 18.
OPTIONAL EXTRA: Lunch (boerewors roll or a hamburger and a cold drink)
